Samples are processed here rather than sent out, which is what keeps the turnaround short and lets your consultant see the result the same day.

How it works

    Book or walk in

    The laboratory is open 24 hours. No appointment is needed for routine tests — walk in at any hour, or ask us to collect at home.

    Sample collected

    At the hospital, or at your home at no extra charge. Our phlebotomist carries identification; please ask to see it.

    Processed on site

    Samples are run in our own laboratory rather than sent out, which is what keeps the turnaround short.

    Reported and explained

    A doctor reviews the result before it is released, and explains what it means. A result is not a diagnosis on its own.

Common questions

Do I need an appointment for a blood test?
No. The laboratory is open 24 hours and accepts walk-ins. You can also ask for home sample collection, which is free.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription?
For most routine tests, no. Some specialised investigations need a referral, and the laboratory reception will tell you if yours does.
Do I have to fast?
Fasting is required for blood sugar, lipid profile and a few other tests — usually 8 to 12 hours, water allowed. We will tell you when you book. If you are unsure, call before you come.
How do I get my report?
Reports appear in your patient account once a doctor has reviewed and released them, and you can download them there. Printed copies are available at the laboratory reception.
Is home sample collection really free?
Yes, home collection carries no charge, and laboratory investigations are offered at a 20% discount. Medicines delivered to your home carry a 15% discount.
What should I bring?
A photo ID, your prescription if you have one, and any previous reports for the same test so the laboratory can compare.
A test result is information, not a diagnosis. Numbers outside the reference range are common and often mean nothing on their own. Please have your report explained by a doctor before drawing a conclusion from it — and never stop or change a medicine because of a result alone.
